Declan's choice from
the 2004 kid crop seems to be a winner. Together they managed to
take first in a class of 16 baby does in their second show, despite
a very low ratio of walking to lying down on her part. Declan wins
the quiet persistence award. A charismatic little doe, she continues
to catch the judges' eyes, taking frequent 1st and 2nd places as
a first freshener, and earning an E classification and her
first GCH as a second freshener. As a 3 year old Sky earned an Excellent
in head, rear legs, and back in our 2007 linear appraisal session;
in 2009, having finally been bagged up properly for our appraisal
session, she recieved the coveted E in mammary. This doe will still
not walk nicely on a lead--except inside the ring. Lucky me!
Her son Loki, whom we co-own, is a herdsire at Black
Duck Farm; thanks Karen!
