As her pedigree shows,
this flashy doe is tightly linebred on Twink's Pixie, some of the
most successful genetics I have worked with. In mammary system,
Seriphus is very similar to her dam, Andromeda,
with similar strengths--a very high rear udder attachment and an
outstanding udder floor, with outstanding medial strength and division,
and very large, easy milking, plumb teats, but stronger feet and
legs and a much better topline and more width overall. I bred Andromeda
to Giacomo in hopes of getting more capacity and a wider udder overall,
more like his daughter Ch
Dierdre's. As a late first freshener with only a single kid,
she is not showing me that increase in width and capacity, but I
believe it's there waiting for another freshening or two and a larger
litter...given what she has shown me so far, normally I would give
her at least one more freshening to see. She is also a much prettier
doe than this hairy fall pictures shows. I think this may be a real
sleeper and a good value at $400. Available after weaning her Halifax
daughter, who is just gorgeous.
Sold, thanks Theresa!
