(Photo by Declan Dean) I had to keep this kid. Yes, she's my absolute least favorite color, though with all the white, it really isn't so bad. And, after all, her dam is very promising, her sire is doing great things, and she is structurally very pleasing--but that's not why I am keeping her. It's because, when she was 2 days old and the bus with all the lovely ladies from the senior center stopped across the street to watch the kids at play, I decided to pick her up and take her over for a visit. I set her down in the aisle of the bus and she strolled up and down, stopping to say hi to each person along the way, and never turned a hair. I need more personalities like that around here; we have waaaaay too many prima donnas! Her name is the title character in one of the versions of the fairy tale "Cinderella", in Itialian by Giambattista Basile.
